Product Description
This probe was designed for those who are concerned with saving weight but not at the expense of length. Black Diamond QuickDraw Carbon Fiber Probe 230 has the highest length-to-weight ratio of all BD probes and was created for use in snowpacks of medium depth. The carbon fiber sections are marked every five centimeters for quick and accurate depth measurement, and each section is used as part of the probe for maximum length. This year Black Diamond has increased the diameter of the Carbon Fiber Probe sections to 13 mm and incorporated chamfered metal tube-insert connectors for a stiffer, more durable probe. Like all BD probes in 2003, Black Diamond has included a clip on the QuickDraw cable pull-loop so the cable can be clipped to the probe and won't swing around while in use.
