Product Description
The same geometry that makes leashless tools perform so well on overhanging mixed climbing also makes them difficult to place in the ice. To combat this problem Grivel designed the Racing Wing with three distinct grip positions to allow you to climb ice and mixed terrain equally well. The Pull position lets you hang comfortably from the tool with little fatigue for mixed climbing and steep ice pitches. Choking up on the grip to the Swing position allows a more natural arc for easier and more secure placements in ice. A Match position on top lets you match on one tool, choke up for long reaches, and switch tools easily.
Bottom Line: Don't let 10 feet of ice stop you after 40 feet of overhanging rock.
