In the backcountry, and for that matter the frontcountry, safety is key. The Karhu 7tm Tour Telemark Binding is the only releasable Telemark binding that meets the stringent ISO-DIN safety requirements. This means the 7tm won't pre-release at inconvenient times, but will pop you out just in time to help protect you legs or your entire body from damage from falls and avalanches. The 7tm tour isn't all safety though; it's big on fun. The solid design of the binding gives it a natural riser to carve with, and makes it super stable laterally so you can put full power to your edges. A frictionless pivot ahead of the Tour's toe is awesome for climbing, as is the included climbing wire. When safety and fun in the backcountry are at the top of your list (IE: All the time) the 7tm Tour is the right choice.
