Dont think its all about weight though. Paclite is also some of the most breathable waterproof laminate around, so even though its raining cats, dogs, and occasionally moose outside, you wont drown in sweat or water during a hard climb. Micro Tape construction cuts out weight and bulk, and laminated details remove stitching for a similar effect.
