The medium volume Mountainsmith Sting 45 Backpack's comfortable harness and multiple gear loops make it ideal for technical climbs or weekend trips into the backcountry. The Sting's main compartment expands from its standard 2685cu in volume to 3900cu in to make it ideal for treks to basecamp or into the backcountry. As you hike, dual density foam shoulder straps, an air-channeled foam back panel, and a pivoting waistbelt ensure your heavy load sits comfortably on your back. Mountainsmith also designed this pack in two different sizes, regular and large torso, for a sure fit, and included four load adjusters and a multi-use compression system to evenly distribute weight. Whether you head out on a winter climbing trip or summer weekend adventure, the Sting has you covered. It has an A-frame ski and a vertical snowboard carry, multiple tool attachment points, a top compression strap for climbing ropes, webbing keepers, trekking pole mounts, and dual tubes that accommodate leashed or leash-less tools.
