The Ortovox Professional Alu avalanche shovel is ideal for ski mountaineers and freeriders who demand the highest standards in function and design. The 2003/2004 season Professional Alu has a telescopic handle and ergonomically designed non-slip grip which works for right or left handers. Flip the handle around and you have a unique scoop which allows you to pull snow toward you (ie for a sheer test) or reach down and raise snow out of a snow pit.
