If you think duct tape comes in handy, wait till you're deep in the backcountry and S.O.L.—Voile straps will save the day. Made of tough, stretch polyurethane, Voile straps will simply not fail. You should always carry a few when traveling in the backcountry. They are great for fixing a pesky adhesive skin, cinching gear onto your pack and, of course, for holding your skis together. But their value extends way beyond that in ways that we can't even foresee in a product description. For example, after our marketing director broke his ski clean in half skiing in the backcountry last year, he used Voile straps to bind his ski together enough so he could skin out. They work.
